Timpanogos Harley Davidson

As you try to get in all the riding you can before the snow flies, you can look forward to having a new place to hang out next year. The Timpanogos Harley Davidson dealership is currently in construction of their new building. The over 58,000 square foot dealership will be built from over 90% reclaimed materials harvested from Geneva Steel plant, railroad bridges and buildings. It will be one the largest Harley-Davidson dealerships (and definitely the coolest) in the western United States.
Owner David Toumisto purchased 20-year-old Monarch Harley-Davidson in May, 2006 with the idea of building a destination Harley-Davidson dealership. It will be right off the I-15 interstate in Lindon and should quickly become a place where riders pull off. It will feature a rider’s lounge with showers for bikers coming off the road, an observation deck with spotting scopes where customers will be able to watch wildfire on the nearby mountains and a weather center with a flat-screen television where riders will be able to plan the next leg of their journey. Some screens will display films of different scenic roads around Utah so out-of-staters can familiarize themselves with the terrain.
Before Toumisto got into the motorcycle business, he founded Bajio Mexican Grill chain of restaurants and he is using this expertise for Marley’s, an on-site restaurant.
According to Rick Story, the General Manager, the new dealership will be open in April, 2008 with a huge party with big name band. Until then you can still check out Timpanogos Harley-Davidson at 935 North 1300 West in Orem. Go to www.timp-harley.com for more information.
